Elizabeth Nanninga paints with acrylics. She is a member of the Manotick Art Association and the Artist of Stonebridge. She has shown her art at multiple craft/art shows all over eastern Ontario.
Elizabeth loves nature and feels that creation sings songs of beauty and communicates deeper meaning/truths. Beauty is a very important part of who we are and what we believe about ourselves; the world and of the One who made it all. Nature walks with her camera or creative expression on canvas are some ways to help her notice what's important. She believes art is a creative depiction of sight, emotion or interpretation. It tells a story that draw people into a dialogue.
Elizabeth's art has a message that comes with an invitation to find yourself in the picture. In a busy and fast paced world, it is important to stop and notice how light bounces off trees, or the pounce of a fox; or the beauty in a sunrise. Art can draw us toward a more meditative solitude of wonder and awareness. This awareness offers a deeper truth to life that a hurried lifestyle misses. Time using creativity is a growing pastime and delight for Elizabeth as she grows in her artistic syle. She is a self-taught artist who seeks to market her paintings. She also offers painting classes in her home monthly.
