Members of the Manotick Art Association give back to their community by raising money through our sponsored events and contributing to local charitable groups and initiatives.
In recent years, donations have been made to:
Manotick Food Cupboard – a community led, non-profit charitable organization that provides food assistance to individuals and families in need in the Manotick/Rideau Valley area.
Manotick United Church “Quiltz 4 Kidz” initiative – tied fleece blankets are made and distributed primarily to refugee children in the Ottawa area. Blankets were also given to children in Dunrobin affected by the tornadoes in September 2018.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 314 (Manotick) – has a long history of providing services not only to veterans and members but also to the people of the community.
Millers Oven – operated by a group of senior volunteers, this non-profit restaurant has been serving breakfast, lunch and tea in a two-story heritage house since 1983.
Manotick Arena Expansion – a community driven project to expand the arena to include four new accessible changing rooms and additional community/activity space.
Youth of Manotick Association (YOMA) – YOMA is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive and socially accepting environment to help support local area youth build positive relationships, to experience new opportunities and to connect them to their community.
Osgoode Youth Association (OYA) – OYA’s mission is to enrich the quality of life for youth in Grades 7 – 12 in rural south Ottawa.
Rural Ottawa South Support Services (ROSSS) – a non-profit, charitable organization committed to excellence in the delivery of rural community support services. It champions the rights of seniors, people with disabilities and caregivers.
